ASUU Strike, Lecturers may begin another strike this month

ASUU suspended the previous strike because there was an agreement that their demands will be implemented before the end of October.

There are indications that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) may embark on another industrial action tomorrow, Wednesday, November 1.

The union in September called off its one month strike after reaching an agreement with the Federal Government that their demands would be implemented before the end of October.
Today is the last day in October and the Federal Government is yet to honour the agreement it had with the Union since September.
Meanwhile, the president of the Union, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi while announcing the conditional suspension of the recent industrial action had said the union was suspending the strike to allow government commence implementation of the agreement between them.
