OnePlus 6 Will Arrive In June With Snapdragon 845

With the OnePlus 5T still recent, and the controversy stalking the Chinese company once again, OnePlus has decided to make us look elsewhere. Specifically, until the second half of this year 2018 that has just begun.

And to do so Pete Lau, the CEO of the company and former vice president of OPPO, wanted to attract the stares set at CES 2018 for a moment, detailing the future plans of the company, not only those that respect the new markets where the firm will operate officially, but also by dropping the first clues on the next phone in its catalog.

The next OnePlus will be presented at the end of the second quarter of 2018
According to Lau confirmed in an interview offered to CNET, the company’s next flagship phone will not be ahead of schedule, but will be at the end of the second quarter of this year 2018 when we can witness its presentation, just as we did in June of last year with the OnePlus 5.

Of course, about the OnePlus 6 that would arrive in June, not much is known at the moment. However, Pete Lau has wanted to share the first details of the terminal, assuring that the mobile platform Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 will be the one that will give life to the company’s next flagship, indicating that there is no other choice.

On the other hand, the CEO has also decided to tackle one of the most talked about topics in the telephony sector during this last year, such as artificial intelligence. However, unlike other manufacturers, OnePlus is reluctant, and Lau says that, at the moment, they have no plans to implement systems of this type on their short-term phones.

The firm could reach agreements with US carriers
Perhaps the most important thing in this interview is not the confirmation of the launch of its next smartphone, which was expected after all, but rather the fact that OnePlus would have begun to talk with some US carriers, with the aim of offering its devices to an even greater potential audience.

For now, however, a date has not been specified for the arrival of OnePlus terminals to the US market by some of the most important operators in the country, and Lau has merely stated that “if the opportunity appears correct at the right time, we will be very happy to experiment.”
