Unveils Its First 8th Gen Chips With AMD Graphics (INTEL)

Intel has officially unveiled its new chip with AMD Radeon RX Vega M Graphics. According to Intel, these chips can be used in mini PCs, 2-in-1 PCs and thin and light notebook because it brings some benefits like heavyweight GPU and CPU performance in a lightweight form factor.

revious year Intel has announced that it’s working with AMD to launch a new series of processor. The new chip would be the part of Intel’s current 8th Generation core family. Now it looks like, Intel has officially unveiled its new chip with AMD Radeon RX Vega M Graphics.

So, the fruits of Intel and AMD’s unique partnership are finally here. According to Intel, these chips can be used in mini PCs, 2-in-1 PCs and thin and light notebook because it brings some benefits like heavyweight GPU and CPU performance in a lightweight form factor.





Intel used its Embedded Multi-Die Interconnect Bridge technology (EMIB) in the chip to combine Intel’s Quad-core CPU, 4GB of dedicated HBM2, and Radeon RX Vega M graphics. With the help of EMIB technology, Intel succeeded to create a high-speed information bridge between GPU and HBM2.

Well, the 8th Gen Intel Core chipsets will be available in two variants – 8th Gen Intel Core processor with Radeon™ RX Vega M GL Graphics (65W total power) and the second one which is 8th Gen Intel Core processor with Radeon™ RX Vega M GH Graphics (100W total power) comes in an unlocked configuration.



According to Intel, these chips are specially built for gamers and VR enthusiasts. Well, if you’re interested in the number, compared to a 3-year-old PC with discrete graphics, content creation with Adobe Premiere Pro is 42% faster.

Intel partners like HP and Dell are expected to announce their devices powered by this chip at CES 2018. So, we could assume that the devices powered by this chip could arrive on the market later this spring.
